A Night of Mystery,Malbecs and Music

This incredible event will benefit Symphony NH's

Nashua Youth (h)EARS Program

About Symphony NH's Nashua Youth(h)EARS program

In 2009, Symphony NH (SNH) and the Nashua School District joined together to create a new educational outreach program. Nashua Youth (h)EARS aims to inspire third grade students to want to participate in band when they enter fourth grade.  Through a special program called "Picture This" that was designed for them, Music Director Jonathan McPhee teaches them to identify themes, characters, locations and events by listening to the music.  Teachers help prepare students for intimate musical presentations by a chamber ensemble, and those presentations in turn ready students for the full SNH Orchestra concert they'll hear at Keefe Center for the Arts each spring.

The SNH Wind Quintet starts things off by visiting each elementary school to introduce students to the instruments.  Using Prokofiev's beloved Peter and the Wolf as foundation, the character of each instrument is explored.

Next, all third-graders visit Keefe Center for the Arts together for a concert by the full SNH Orchestra, led by Jonathan McPhee.  The program includes excerpts from movie scores as well as more "traditional" classical hits.

Nashua Youth (h)EARS is supported by grants from NH State Council on the Arts, Nashua Arts Commission, King's Daughters Benevolent Association, the Conway Arena Ice Rink Commission and Cogswell Benevolent Trust, Nashua Rotary Club West, and the Ella F. Anderson Trust.

About WineNot Boutique

We try to support many local non profit organizations, and also local artists and musicians.

In 2011 WineNot sponsored a large event for 130 people in partnership with H3O Women's Ministry, Dancing Lion Chocolate and Holiday Inn to benefit the Nashua Soup kitchen.

People had so much fun, every ticket was sold out. We want to organize a new event at Holiday inn.

"Thank you to all who contributed to our fall "Tastings" kick off on Oct 5th.  With 130 women in attendance we had a exciting evening filled with delicious tastings and we learned a lot about various wines, chocolates, cheeses and coffees. Thank you for all who donated to the raffles, we raised $500 for the Nashua Soup Kitchen......" ~ October 2011 Newsletter by H3O Women's Minestry
